The Festival is held annually on the

FIRST SATURDAY

of October!

See you there!

NOTE: Festival is held IN the forest, walking area is a natural surface, flat with some irregularities as this is not a paved or concrete trail.

At the last festival, more than 100 visitors took a beautiful one or two mile Nature Walk through the Forest and discover more about the mountains' flora and fauna!  You can choose between a guided tour or to walk independently. Those who successfully complete the two mile walk will receive this cool commemorative Pine Cone Festival pin. Those who do the shorter one mile walk and receive a Festival magnet.   This year we are adding a three mile walk!  If you are up for the full three miles you will receive a special Smokey Bear pin!  Thanks to Church of the Woods and Rim Nordic for sponsoring this activity.
Thanks to the Inland Empire Prospectors & Miners Club, folks can have fun panning for GOLD!

CAL FIRE winners 19 edited.jpg

At our last Festival, CAL FIRE took the trophy for the Pine Cone Brigade, ending Running Springs Fire Department's three year streak in winning the Golden Pine Cone for the Firefighters Pine Cone Brigade contest. Which agency will take home the Pine Cone Championship this year?

dog on leash.jpg
The Festival is a dog-friendly event - as long as they are on a 6ft leash. And please come prepared to clean up after your dog as there is no "doggie" area. Note: for safety reasons, dogs are not allowed on the shuttle, but you can be dropped off in the loading zone at Rim Nordic on Hwy 18 before the driver parks at Snow Valley.
